
Jesse Veverka
commands a diverse academic background spanning engineering, economics,
and language. He received a B.A. in economics from Cornell University and worked as an
investment-banking Analyst at a major Wall Street bank (that has since
collapsed). He spent a year at the Korean Advanced Institute of Science
and Technology (KAIST) is Daejon, South Korea as a Fulbright
Scholarship Grantee and earned an M.S. in aerospace engineering, with a minor in cognitive science, from Cornell University. He moved to Japan
in 2007 to study Japanese and work on film. He has traveled to such
unusual destinations as Afghanistan and North Korea and has studied
Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Indonesian, Thai and Spanish.
Jeremy Veverka
earned a B.A. in English at Cornell University with a focused interest in
photojournalism. Jeremy has visited such high-risk locations as
Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraqi Kurdistan, and Lebanon (during the Israeli
assault of 2006) as both a writer and photographer. After
deciding to go to India
on a whim in 2003, Jeremy became a self-professed South-Asia junky and
has studied Hindi and Bengali with his sights now set on Urdu. He has
traveled to over 50 countries and plans to return to South Asia in the
future to study the unique but rapidly modernizing hill tribes of the
region. Jeremy
is also a talented musical producer whose electronic music project
3jane created material for such clients as Armani Exchange.
